Department of Labor PAID program

Do you think your business may have issues with overtime or minimum wage compliance? For a limited time the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division (WHD) is offering the Payroll Audit Independent Determination (PAID) program. PAID offers a pathway for employers to report and resolve violations without the threat of government litigation or penalties from WHD. Some employers, including those currently undergoing investigations or private lawsuits, will not be able to participate.

On March 6, 2018, the Wage and Hour Division announced the creation of PAID. Click here to view the Department of Labor’s PAID website. It will be implemented nationwide for a period of six months. During this time employers will have an opportunity to audit their payroll practices and resolve violations with the Department of Labor.
